Theatre Without Borders
Contact
New York City, NY10014Theatre Without Borders (TWB) is an all-volunteer network of individual theatre artists and organizations around the world. TWB was created to share information and to help build links for individuals and institutions interested in international theatre exchange. TWB is a virtual web-based space for artist-to-artist and people-to-people connections across borders. We also work in partnership with other organizations to "seed & grow" initiatives. Recent projects include: The Cultural Mobility Funding Guide for the USA (www.us-culturalmobility.org) developed in partnership with On the Move (www.on-the-move.org) and the Martin E. Segal Theatre Center, The Graduate School CUNY (http://thesegalcenter.org); Theatre & Climate Change, a new initiative developing with Artists and Climate Change (http://artistsandclimatechange.com); The Acting Together Project (http://www.actingtogether.org) developed with the Peacebuilding and the Arts Program at Brandeis University; Artists Safety Net (http://www.artistsafety.net) developed with freeDimensional and their Creative Resistance Fund (http://www.freedimensional.org and http://www.creativeresistancefund.org); Theatre & Cultural Diplomacy, an exploration of the role of theatre in political contexts, in development with Georgetown University's Laboratory for Global Performance & Politics - and many others.
