Edgar Arceneaux was born in 1972 in Los Angeles, California, where he continues to live and work. He received his BFA from the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California and his MFA from the California Institute of Arts in Valencia, California. In addition he has studied at the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture in Maine and at the Fachhochschule Aachen in Germany.

The mission of EDIT is to empower youth and communities to expand their awareness of diversity issues, embrace a journey toward greater understanding and acceptance, and become committed to social action in order to create a more inclusive society.

El Puente — Spanish for The Bridge — is a community-based organization that engages youth and adult members in the arts, education, public health, environmental justice and social action programs. Founded in 1982 on the Southside of Williamsburg, El Puente works with more than 2,000 North Brooklyn residents each year through its Center for Arts and Culture, a Community Health & Environment Institute (CHE), four Youth Leadership Centers, and a partnership with the El Puente Academy for Peace and Justice, a New York City public high school it founded almost two decades ago.

The Ella Baker Center for Human Rights is a strategy and action center working for justice, opportunity and peace in urban America. Based in Oakland, California, we promote positive alternatives to violence and incarceration through our four cutting-edge campaigns. The Problem: Decades of disinvestment in our cities have led to despair and hopelessness. For poor communities and communities of color it's even worse, as excessive, racist policing and over-incarceration have left people even further behind. We now face a cycle of violence that makes everyone less safe.

Founded in 1976, Enchanted Circle Theater (ECT) is a non-profit, multi-service, educational theater company that engages, enhances, and inspires learning through the arts. We are the regional leader in the field of arts integration, using theater arts as a dynamic teaching tool on the stage, in the classroom, and in the community.   

Fund promotes public awareness and education on environmental issues through film, video, digital and interactive media, media-based educational teaching tools and special events, and to inspire individuals to participate in solutions.

I am a visual and performing artist, activist and educator. Working as a multdisciplinary artist is testament to creating and understanding our world as a complex, integrated and interdependent system of parts, each part informing the other.  I am currently the executive director for Stone Valley Arts located in rural southwest Vermont. We are a young organization working to bring a full spectrum of cultural activities, events and educational programming to our economically distressed area.

My goal is to advocate for people who have been historically marginalized and to assist in having them tell their own stories using the arts.

Eve Ensler, Tony Award winning Playwright, performer, and activist, is the author of The Vagina Monologues, translated into over 48 languages and performed in over 140 countries, including sold-out runs at both Off-Broadway's Westside Theater and on London's West End (2002 Olivier Award nomination, Best Entertainment) and has been running for 11 years in Mexico City and Paris. In 2004, Ms. Ensler performed her play The Good Body on Broadway in NYC. This was followed by a 20 city national tour in 2005.
