Markus Tracy

In May of 2017, Tracy’s artist-in-residence work was supported by the Sisseton Arts Council and the South Dakota Arts Council. Tracy constructed an art installation at the abandoned 1939 Art Deco Siston Theater in Sisseton South Dakota. The first objective was to create the illusion or a kind of prop displaying a working theater as part of the installation.

Since 1975, writer, performer, director and activist Marty Pottenger has created performances, plays, arts-based civic dialogues, and community arts projects throughout the United States and Europe. A former union activist, Board Chair of the American Festival Project and member of Heresies magazine core collective, Pottenger moved to Portland Maine in 2007 to launch Art At Work, a national initiative to strengthen cities and improve municipal government through strategic arts projects involving city employees, elected officials, community leaders, and local artists.

In 1989, Matthew created his own cartoon strip, "Cyrus and Ida", which appears weekly in the Vermont News Guide and is now a monthly addition to the Starksboro Gazette. His paintings and sculptures are inspired by his surroundings whether in Vermont or through his travels in Europe, Brazil and Central America where he has also exhibited in group and solo shows.

Written by Melanie Hammet and Ben Holst, this music is currently available as a performance by Melanie, Ben, and Clarence Harrison, en route to becoming an album of songs benefitting Georgia Innocence Project. Mr. Harrison was exonerated by GIP seven years ago.
Merry-Go-Round Playhouse

The largest touring children’s theatre in Upstate New York and one of the largest in the country, The Merry-Go-Round Youth Theatre reaches more than 100,000 students across the state through its curriculum based multi-discipline Sequential Dramatics Program. Originally offering weekend drama classes for local youth under the name Auburn Children’s Theatre, the Merry-Go-Round Playhouse was founded in September of 1958. In 1961, the children’s theatre instituted a semi-professional in-school program. Within four years the program began touring state-wide.
