In collaboration with Minnesota Public Radio (MPR), the City of Minneapolis presents the MPR Sound Point project, an audio cell phone tour featuring recently completed public artworks
and interviews with the artists who created them. The tour highlights a range of artworks, including an artist-designed baseball backstop, a blooming bus shelter and a memorial to the 35W bridge collapse.

Muslim Voices of Philadelphia connects archival research, ethnography, oral history, and digital media to encourage community organizations to record their rich and diverse histories.

My Daily Constitution started as a public art project by Linda Pollack, as her contribution in the exhibition “Democracy When?” at Los Angeles Contemporary Exhibitions in Hollywood in May, 2002. It was a response to the political and cultural climate in the United States after the initial shock of 9/11 and the passage of the USA Patriot Act. The project is based on the premise that our laws affect our daily lives and culture; what is needed at this moment is a collective dialogue to interpret them. Yard signs are as ubiquitous and familiar to the American political landscape as baby-kissing and stump speeches, combining catchy images and pithy campaign slogans to increase visibility for vying candidates and their parties’ messages. In honor of the 2008 election season, My Yard Our Message turned the tradition of political ephemera on its ear with a unique national competition that placed the message and the creative design for political yard signs into the hands of artists.

The Native American After School Art Program (NAASAP) unites Native American youth and assists them in developing skills and perspectives that will result in an increased knowledge and sense of pride in their cultural identity. Through community arts programming, youth become self-empowered to effect positive change in their own lives and in the Native American community of Baltimore. The Native American After School Art Program (NAASAP) exists to provide a safe, structured, environment for Baltimore's Native youth to assemble themselves together.

The NAMES Project Foundation is the custodian of The AIDS Memorial Quilt, the largest ongoing community arts project in the world. As such, it seeks to preserve, care for, and use The AIDS Memorial Quilt in order to foster healing, heighten awareness, and inspire action in the struggle against HIV and AIDS. Virtually every one of the more than 40,000 panels that make up The Quilt memorializes the life of a person lost to AIDS, and there is absolutely no cost for a panel maker to add a panel.

Naomi Natale is an installation artist and photographer. She was the founder and director of The Cradle Project, a large scale installation calling attention and raising funds for the 48 million children orphaned in sub-Saharan Africa. Over 550 cradles were created and donated by artists from around the world who were drawn to Natale’s vision. All 550 cradles were shown in one exhibit which had over 6,000 viewers. A catalogue, The Cradle Project, highlights over 75 of the cradles which were a part of the exhibition.

The National Alliance for Media + Culture (NAMAC) works to raise the profile and influence of the media arts through support services to institutional members and advocates. Members are supported by research initiatives, leadership training, and advocacy on behalf of media arts. NAMAC members include community-based media production centers and facilities, university-based programs, museums, media presenters and exhibitors, film festivals, distributors, film archives, youth media programs, community access television, digital arts and online groups, and policy-related centers.
